Summer Horsemanship Camps

Camp at Briar Field Farm is a great place for horse crazy kids to meet other horse crazy kids!

Briar Field Farm offers camp sessions during the summer. 
The sessions are four-five days long depending on the program. 
Groups are kept small so students can learn more about the horses and riding!

Advanced Camp/Field Trips;  Available to riders who can jump 2ft and own or lease a horse or pony!  Campers will learn how to load a horse on the trailer, wrap, clip, health care, conformation and more. Campers will do lots of riding and go on field trips off property.  Field Trips can include riding cross country, swimming with the ponies, trail riding, lessons in different disciplines (i.e. western, driving, saddle seat) etc...  Sometimes this camp will end with a horse show on the weekend!

 

Pony Camp  is for campers who are just starting out. We teach these campers all about how to take
care of a horse! They learn the proper way to groom and tack up along with the parts of the tack & horse, breeds, markings
& colors. This camp will also include daily riding time and crafts! Friday is usually Game Day (come prepared to get wet)!

Sometimes we use PowerPoint presentations and hands on activities to allow campers to interact while they learn. 
Activities include crafts, jeopardy games, relay races, trail riding, water slides and much more!
Campers will also bring home a camp packet filled with fun worksheets, puzzles and magazines!
