Summer
Horsemanship Camps

Camp at Briar Field Farm is a great place for horse crazy kids to meet other horse crazy kids!
Briar Field Farm offers
two to three camp sessions during the summer.
The sessions are usually five days long. Groups are kept small so students can
learn more about the horses and riding!
This also allows us to assign each camper their own horse or pony for the week.

Program A
is an exciting week leading up to a big horse show over the
weekend. Campers will learn advanced stable management and will do lots of
riding. Riders in this group must be showing in the short stirrup division or
higher.
Program B focuses on showing and preparing for horse shows.
Campers will learn how to load a horse on the
trailer, wrap, clip, braid and will do lots of riding. Riders must be able to
walk-trot-canter alone!
Program C
is for campers who are just starting out. We teach these campers all about the
basics and how to take
care of a horse! They learn the proper way to groom and tack up along with the
parts of the tack & horse, breeds, markings
& colors. This camp will also include daily riding time. Riders must currently
be enrolled in our lesson program!

We use PowerPoint presentations and hands on activities to allow campers to
interact while they learn.
Activities include crafts, jeopardy games, relay races, trail riding, water
slides, lots of riding and much more!
Campers will also bring home a camp packet filled with fun worksheets, puzzles
and magazines!
Friday is usually
Game Day (come prepared to get wet)!
