Summer
Horsemanship Camps
Camp at Briar Field
Farm is a great place for horse crazy kids to meet other horse crazy
kids!
Briar Field Farm offers
two to three camp sessions during the summer.
The sessions are four-five days long depending on the program. Groups are kept small so students can
learn more about the horses and riding!
This also allows us to assign each camper their own horse or pony for the week.

2010 Camp Dates TBD
Show Camp focuses on showing and preparing for horse shows.
Campers will learn how to load a horse on the
trailer, wrap, clip, braid and more. This camp leads up to a big horse
show over the weekend. Campers will do lots of riding Monday to Wednesday.
Thursday we will leave for the horse show and then we will test our skills
Friday to Sunday in the show ring. Riders must be able to show in
walk-trot!
Pony Camp
is for campers who are just starting out. We teach these campers all about how to take
care of a horse! They learn the proper way to groom and tack up along with the
parts of the tack & horse, breeds, markings
& colors. This camp will also include daily riding time and crafts. Riders must currently
be enrolled in our lesson program!
Friday is usually Game Day
(come prepared to get wet)!
We use PowerPoint presentations and hands on activities to allow campers to
interact while they learn.
Activities include crafts, jeopardy games, relay races, trail riding, water
slides and much more!
Campers will also bring home a camp packet filled with fun worksheets, puzzles
and magazines!
